If you are that low, retake in december and apply in January. Even if you get low 160s, Pepperdine or UC Hastings should accept you.

Probably Chapman and Santa Clara with a 2.9 and 158. It is important to consider your goals in selecting the right school for you. If your goal is to live a large portion of the next 3 years in a library while maxing out student loans to live on ramen noodles and spam then many law schools will strike your fancy.

What makes these schools unique is that they aren't for elitists (i.e. those who require luxuries like a weekly steak, a car, or indoor plumbing). They are also not for the law school sell outs hell bent on practicing law. No, these are some of the most effective schools in the world at ensuring that you will never practice law at any point in your career. If you place at the top of your class, you can go to work on real cases in real court rooms on fascinating matters like insurance defense in fender bender cases. Your peers who retook the LSAT will suffer in their Brooks Brothers attire while eating their steaks at a white shoe hell hole, going home to their kids in a home that they own.

With the cowboy lifestyle of Santa Clara alumni, you will commute to work on horseback (because with your credit, no one will lease you a car). You will live out in the woods, and flame roast wild boar for dinner like you're in a John Wayne western. Chapman and Santa Clara are potentially excellent choices, but are not for the faint of heart. Those sissies who want to live indoors and practice law go to elitist schools like Stanford and even USC. If you are a man's (wo)man and like the allure of the street and aren't too much of an elitist to give a handy for some grub then Chapman and Santa Clara can be excellent options for you.

Yes, you'll get in to some of those schools. You still shouldn't go. All they offer is horrible job prospects and a lot of debt.* Don't do it.

You need to retake and raise your school by quite a bit before a decent school at reasonable cost becomes a possibility. If you can't or won't do that, it's probably in your best interests to look at other career paths.

*UCLA is a good school with decent prospects, but you won't get in there with your current numbers.

Edit: I glanced at your other posts, and it looks like you have a medical diagnosis that might have impacted your GPA? If so, I'd ask your undergrad institution if you can retroactively withdraw from those courses. It's a long shot, but it can't hurt to ask.
