3.89 / 175 with Code of Conduct Violation

What's up guys. I'm a 3.89 and 175 looking at applying to most of the T14. My softs are probably average. Previously I had a spotless record, felt pretty good about my chances.
This week I was found guilty of two violations of my university's code of conduct for providing alcohol to minors (which is being appealed) and excess noise. There was no police report, no actual charges. I have to pay a small fine and I'm on probation until the end of the semester. No previous disciplinary record.
What does this mean for my admissions chances, and scholarship chances? I understand that I'll have to be honest on my applications, and I'll provide an explanation for the violations (I wasn't there, I'm just on the lease). How bad is it?

You probably missed the fact his school provided a paper trail.
Well I would suggest not saying the charges are "bullshit" on any C&R you have to write. You will have to write one to most schools depending on what exactly they ask you. Be factual, honest, and try to sound like you care. I cannot tell you what to do, but you're not even 21. If you cohabit or just room with people that are 21 and over and the ones caught in your apartment/dorm/whatever aren't your friends than say so. I would suggest you distance yourself from those people in reality and not just say it on paper.

I agree with RCSOB657.
I will also add that an admissions officer could likely determine your identity by comparing your application file with the details from this post. So, assuming some of them might stumble across this post, if you don't want them to believe you haven't learned your lesson you should consider editing your original post!
(not that I'm suggesting there is a lesson to learn, but if you plan to write an addendum then.....)
Good luck!

sounds pretty minor, doubt it will make any difference
obviously disclose, don't make excuses, show remorse, etc
enjoy your killer cycle

My extracurriculars are average at best -- I'm finishing undergrad in 3 years, served as student body president, interned in Congress and the House of Commons but no real full-time work experience, and I'm only 20. Previously I had a spotless record, felt pretty good about my chances.

Wow, sounds like the T14 wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole.

Yeah, this won't really matter. Disclose it, keep your nose clean going forward, and you'll be fine.

Should not be a problem at all. You are fine, most people have stuff like this happen. RA's can be dicks. Write an apologetic addendum and you're good to go.
Buuuut, it's now more important to stay out of trouble. Don't do it again and just be a little bit more conservative in how far you put yourself out there. Don't volunteer to be your club sports/dorms social chair, don't drive after having a few beers, don't throw parties in your dorm room anymore. You'll be fine.

Your numbers are phenomenal and your violations aren't academic so you should be okay. As long as you disclose and you are honest, it should not have a big effect.
