Hey all,
I posted before but I have an updated GPA after noticing a mistake on my transcript.
GPA: 3.47 Humanities major at a top 50 school
LSAT: 167, 180
Softs: Very successful college debater, worked for a legal non profit in undergrad, volunteer for a non profit now, recently founded my own legal advocacy organization although its in the early stages.
WE: 2 years of consulting at non prestigious firm that has a public interest component.
Background: Low income family and first gen college student.
What do people think?

how do you found a legal advocacy organization without a law degree?

Without going into too great detail: we help prisoners. Its legal in the sense that we are working with incarcerated persons and associated organizations and persons.

Mullens wrote:Your GPA might be below the GPA floors for HYS and thus shut you out. You should still blanket the enitre T14 for scholarship negotiation purposes and the non-zero chance one of HYS wants to brag about how many 180s they have in their incoming class.
Nothing changes from this advice. Your GPA is still below the 25ths for most schools and the GPA floors for HYS.

yeah, obv a better GPA is better, but your split is really extreme and no one is going to be able to predict your results with any degree of accuracy. Apply everywhere (with solid, thought-out applications, and "Why X" statements for everywhere besides HYS), and hope for the best. Negotiate hard.

YS are probably a waste of 100 bucks, but H may bite. Otherwise you're a good bet at one of CCN. Apply for the AnnBryce at NYU for a reasonably strong shot at a full-ride. My buddy who's also on here was a finalist with almost identical stats/background

yeah, I agree that OP probably won't get in, but that's still a lottery ticket that I would buy

Thats great to know. I know I have weird numbers so anecdotal evidence is helpful. Thanks!

Had almost identical numbers and a pretty standard cycle. Chances are probably a little better at H these days though.
