Hi guys! As my title states, I do not know what LSAT I need to get into HYS or get a considerable amount of money at T14 schools. Below are my stats:

GPA: 3.85
Double major in Economics and Math, minor in Portuguese
ECs:
-Have been an officer three times within my social fraternity
-Have held Academic Affairs Chair in Student Government. Will be VP of Finance next year
-Intl. Business Intern for city's Economic Development Department
-Will be interning as a Summer Analyst for a major investment bank in NYC this summer

URM (hispanic, male), first-generation college

Thanks in advance

You've got a good GPA. You're Mexican-American, right? The boost tends to be smaller than for other URMs, but some have had good results with similar GPAs and a 167+.

I'd shoot for 170+ for HYS or big money. Also, apply early.

Doesn't sound like your "soft factors" are outside the normal range, so just go to mylsn.info and start playing around with different LSAT scores. Don't forget to include URM results.

Curious about the rush to law school? If you like your summer gig, maybe stick around finance for 2 yrs if you get an offer, save up a bit and pad your resume. Never hurts to have that extra WE. You could also maybe nudge your GPA towards 3.9 senior year and give yourself more breathing room on the LSAT.

Either way, gl!

Aim for a 165+ if you want HYS. Retake if you get anything south of 164.

With those stats/softs you'd be extremely likely to reach your goals with 170+

With a 166-170 you'll have more volatility in your cycle, but will probably still get a few T14's with money, and maybe even H or S or both if you're really lucky.

As a URM, you won't need a very good LSAT score (go to mylsn.info and do a search with URM set to "Only"). Of course, that shouldn't stop you from trying your best to further increase your chances/scholarship money.

agreed that it might be a good idea to take the job in finance for 2 years before law school (if you like the work). but if you do so, do try to take the LSAT before you're working, because most people require more time studying for the LSAT to reach their full potential than is available to a BB analyst.
