3.4 GPA, decent softs. What LSAT would be needed to have a chance at good enough money to justify attending NU for Chi Big law?

You should aim for the 170s. Do you have full time work experience? At NU that could actually make a big difference.

Why do people make threads like this? Are you going to study until you think you'll get a 175 and then stop? Why not just do your best instead of trying to target a certain score?

It's part wishful thinking (maybe all I need is a 165), and part just needing someone to tell them it's possible. Me thinks anyway.

Right. I also think it's less of what-to-shoot-for and more of a measuring-up. OP probably knows what s/he is PTing. Wants to know if where s/he's at will get her/him where s/he wants to go.

OP, check the http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com Northwestern page and look at what people are reporting in terms #s and $. #s aren't the only factor, so it can't be read as a sliding scale, but it's the best info you're going to get.

Makes sense. I guess I never experienced that goal/planning feedback loop because I ignored TLS until decisions started rolling in.

ETA: OP, check out http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/scholarships/graph/. You can hover over 3.4 and see what different LSATs netted at NU. It looks like $40k might be your high end. You could always try EDing if you get a high enough LSAT, but I think you'd probably be rolled to RD.

Nah, I just thought everyone here was T14 or bust. I didn't think my T20 aspirations would fit in. Little did I know...
