168/171, 4.1 -- How much $$ at Emory?

I took the LSAT last year and got a 168, and then promptly retook and got a 171. My GPA is very good (4.15ish) but it's from a mediocre regional school. I'm going to be moving to Atlanta for my fiance's job, so Emory is really my only choice. Do I have a shot at a full ride? If not, how much scholarship money (if any) should I expect? Does the fact that I'm going to pursue a JD/MBA change anything?
Thanks!

That seems a little too good to be true, doesn't it?

Since when did a 171 LSAT get you in everywhere?

Apply to other schools (Duke, Vandy, UVa) to negotiate.
Also, your numbers could get you Harvard/large scholarships at other T14's. This better be one hell of a job to justify you making that sacrifice. Emory is a decent school but you'll definitely be limiting your own opportunities quite intensely for your fiance.

You will definitely get a full ride if they give them out and you aren't yield protected. I had similar numbers and few full rides at top 10 schools. Congrats!

The thing is, I have no ambition to work in biglaw. Also I'll be pursuing a JD/MBA, and my law school application will be much better than my business school app due to my relatively weak softs/experience, so I think Goizueta is a much more realistic possibility than HBS/Fuqua/Darden/etc.
My hope is that I can get a law degree at a very reduced price while I pursue my MBA; I just want to know how reduced of a price I can expect.

Schedule a personal meeting with the administration you will have far and away the best qualifications of anyone intending to go to Emory and won't be even remotely close - ask if they will allow your to be considered late for the Woodruff Scholarship (full-ride + stipend) otherwise wait a year and reapply you'll get it. I mean with your numbers your looking at insane money from top 10 schools - what is your fiancee doing that will prevent you from going to Harvard/Columbia/Chicago or potential full-rides to lower t-14? If he's not making 200k+ in Atlanta than something maybe amiss

man you need to work on that reading comp
i said almost and probably which means im not saying shes gonna get in everywhere
but anyways last time i checked a 171 4.1 is basically a lock ccn down with a shot at hys
since theres like 200 law schools even worst case scenario 197/200 is almost everywhere

The people who are suggesting a full ride at Emory are not probably familiar with Emory's scholarship policies. They have a small number (I want to say 5) of full rides (Woodruff Scholars), but beyond that they do not give out general merit-based full rides. Scholarships for people with similar numbers to yourself are generally in the range of 100-120k, which would leave you cover 40-60k in tuition + COL.

Sort by $$$ and take a look. You should be comfortably at the top of what they give out in terms of scholarships (I'm pretty sure 120k is the cap other than Woodruff).
They also don't really negotiate either, so there's that. :/
