schools primarily care about two things. LSAT and Undergrad GPA.
your degree may help you apply for patent law positions, and get admitted to the patent bar ( assuming its a hard enough science- look into that to be sure), and may be a slight slight bump with regards to your gpa ( if at all)

The set-up for IP law should help a little, but your numbers are already good enough. Just don't mess up your PS and don't have C&F issues. You could also cite your IP law credentials in a line in a scholarship negotiation letter, since it will likely help you get a job, thereby improving the school's employment data.

1. Your background will help with hiring, but not really with admissions. Just look where your numbers put you.
2. You don't need an addendum
