I think you have at least a chance with your numbers. You're an extreme splitter so it's hard to know for sure. Generally speaking it's harder to find good LSAT's than good GPAs. I think a lot of this will come down to your addendum. You will have to explain away your low GPA to be admitted. Were you a STEM major by chance?

Do you have an upward grade trend?

Also what are your backup schools?

UIUC 1L. I was slightly below the 25th percent with GPA, but well above the 75th percentile in LSAT and got an excellent scholarship and am happy with my choice. I have classmates that were just under a 3.0 and then got just above 75th and also got decent money. The school is hungry for LSATs to keep the median above 160 so you probably will get in unless your GPA is well below a 3.0. But with that said, Illinois is a great choice if you want to be in the midwest and can keep debt low. To get big law you still need to be in the top 1/4 unless you are patent law. Even though I am very happy here and doing well, I wouldn't go to Illinois unless you don't just get in, but get significant money as well. Good luck and feel free to pm me if you have any questions
