3.0 GPA, What LSAT for T14?

With my less than stellar GPA do I have a chance at T14 (I am from the South so I am particularly interested in UVA or Duke)? I took the LSAT in October for the first time and got a 167. I have applied to schools this cycle but I am considering retaking it next year and pushing everything back a cycle.

What LSAT score would I need to attend either one of those schools? Is it possible to get a score good enough to get in, or did I screw myself with my GPA?

Thanks!

For GPA/LSAT, you will need to exceed at least one median to have a shot. T14 medians start at 169, so a 170 is the minimum you should be aiming for with your retake.

Exceeding target schools' 75th percentiles will give you better chances, which for the lower T14 is around 171.

Berkeley and Cornell are just not possibilities with that GPA: http://myLSN.info/0fqd7r_1-14.jpg

Northwestern and UVA are the most splitter friendly T14 schools. Shoot for at least 171/172 and I think you have a good shot at both those schools, especially if you apply ED. Duke will be tough with that GPA. Good luck!

Apps continue to rapidly decline, and with them LSAT medians. In another cycle your 167 could be good, but get it up a few more points and you'll be in great shape.
