Long-time troller, first-time poster.

I have a 3.88 GPA, 165 LSAT and some decent softs - work abroad & in politics, fluent in Japanese. Applied pretty late in January. What are my chances at Berkeley, Penn, Georgetown, Cornell, Virginia?

Of course I'd like to apply earlier and retake for a better LSAT score, which I will do if I don't get the schools / $$ I'm looking for this year, so just let me know what you think my chances are with the above info.

Thanks!

I would say a fair shot at Georgetown. The others are a stretch. If you can get your LSAT up to 168-170, I think you would get into at least three on your list.

Thanks Sparky. Any idea how much my chances would improve with the same score but applying earlier (say Nov.)? I'll probably retake if I don't get in this year, but just looking to gauge all the factors.

Thanks!

I highly recommend retaking and applying next year. Your GPA is very good, and improving only a few points on the LSAT would open up opportunities at T6 schools, or at the very least, considerable scholarship $$ at places like Cornell and UVa.
