3.4, 175 LSAT, And . . .

a very steep upward trend due to a medical issue.
My dream school is Duke. I am a huge basketball fan.
What are my chances?

Make sure you write a why duke and try to let committee know you really want to go there. I think you'll get in.

Of course, you were above both 75th percentiles, so that didn't hurt either.
I don't think mentioning the basketball team would hurt at all, as long as you don't make it the focus of your "Why Duke?" statement. The team really is a BFD at Duke. It's an integral part of the culture. The fact that you are already smitten with that part of the culture is good. Make sure you discuss more important things (clinics, journals, the faculty, y'know, things about the LAW SCHOOL) but throwing in the basketball team is fine.
You're probably getting in. Enjoy campout.

If you haven't already done so, I would also write an addendum explaining your circumstances re. grades. May not solve all of your problems, but it definitely won't hurt.

You'll get great scholly at Duke and love your time here Duke is an amazing place and the Triangle is a great place to live as well - plus your right Coach K & Basketball Games #Epic

For what it's worth, I mentioned the basketball team in my Why Duke and got in earlier this month.
I did too.
I've mentioned school-specific culture in all of my Why X essays and it's worked really well. Any T14 law school can provide an outstanding legal education, so this is the one place you can explain why you want
this specific school.
