Admissions deans seem to say they want 2 academic recos - you're applying to school.
Only if your story is compelling enough to overcome your numbers will you be competitive. It's your LSAC numbers that get reported. I doubt there are enough similar stories out there to make an educated guess.

I don't think this is a hard and fast rule for people who have been out of undergrad for a while. I had 1 academic, 2 professional and have been outperforming my numbers. Going back to ask an undergraduate professor who almost certainly doesn't remember him to give an assessment that at this point is more than a decade out of date doesn't pass the common sense test.TigerDude wrote:Admissions deans seem to say they want 2 academic recos - you're applying to school.

Yeah, someone who's been working for 13 years doesn't need to worry about having academic letters.TheSpanishMain wrote:I don't think this is a hard and fast rule for people who have been out of undergrad for a while. I'm going to apply to a broad range of schools, but am most curious if you guys think I have a shot at GW ED. Since I'm likely at sticker if I make it into the t14, I think this is my best option. I also practically live on campus already so that's a bonus.

With a few more points on the LSAT, your work experience would probably make you attractive for NU. GW is probably no good unless there is substantial scholly.

ED at Gw comes with a full ride, that's why it's such an attractive option for me. No way I'd go without $$$
