Your cycle will be incredibly difficult to predict. Ivy league helps matters. The fact that you are not above GPA median does not.

Apply broadly. I'd hit everywhere but Yale. LSN is showing someone in at H and S with similar numbers, but it is just super hard to predict URM cycles with non standard numbers.

I'd actually include Yale. They are so freaking strange it just might work.

You will almost definitely get into a top 6 law school with those numbers. It's just a question of which one. Cast a wide net and good things will happen.

Also, it's my understanding that going to a top UG matters at least a little bit for URMs.

I've heard that all around too, but I'm not sure if it's been proven in any way or if it's just the TLS echo chamber.

Either way, I'd say odds are good at NYU. Also, if you're applying to HS, just apply to Yale too. They are so unpredictable and their app fee is way cheaper than the others.

Thanks for all of your responses. I had planned to target the bottom half of the top 14, but it looks like I'll just try my chances at all of them and hope for the best. I definitely wasn't planning to apply to HYS, but it's worth a shot if there is even a possibility.
