Nope. If you have this sort of pessimistic attitude now you'll never get in, even when you're above both medians.kesha wrote:Trying to decide if it's even worth applying to Yale since it seems like pretty much no one gets in. If not, is it realistic to hope for Harvard or Chicago? I have pretty good softs, but nothing extraordinary.

Come on bro
The question at face value is innocent enough. But would the advice of a group of anonymous people on a message board be enough to sway you to spend $100 (which you say is a lot of money to you; Yale does provide need-based fee waivers)?kesha wrote:Wow, apparently I pressed some buttons here. Look, I'm new to this whole admissions forum thing, so I'm sorry if it came over douchy. $100 is actually a lot of money to me, and I was genuinely unsure if I had any chance at all. Maybe, as some of you not so kindly pointed out, I need to work on my confidence.
Anyway, sorry to have ruffled feathers. Thank you for the advice, and I wish you all the best in your own admissions process.
Yes, I actually thought it would help. I mean, why is anyone here if not to get advice from other people in the same situation? I don't know many people who are applying to law school, so I thought it might help to ask online. And it has been pretty helpful, actually, though perhaps not in the way I thought it would be.thewaves wrote:The question at face value is innocent enough. As much as I appreciate Ke$ha the artist, I do not think I like this original poster
