Any advice on my chances at HYSCC?

169/169/170 3.85GPA from a public university. Non-URM

Worked 5 years on Wall Street as a stockbroker. Have a series 7 and series 24 license. Currently interning at the D.A.'s office. Pretty strong PS and LORs in my opinion.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks all!!!

you're probably better than coin-flip for getting one of columbia or chicago. should be in at nyu and down. honestly, i think this is one of the rare circumstances that a retake history might work as a negative soft. i hope that's not the case, though. your other softs are solid (not exceptional) so i imagine the cycle will play out as it looks at mylsn.info.

I don't think the securities licenses and background will be much help. You should expect to perform at about your numbers. Probably out at HYS, some chance CC, good chance below that with a big scholarship likely in the lower T-14.

Out YS, Super super reach H, Reach/Weak CC, solid N, Boalt, In at the rest.

Softs are average at best IMO. Best of luck!

The first time I read this, I thought it said "have a 7 series". I was wondering why someone doing well enough to drive a 7 series would want to go to law school. Then I re-read it.

Out at HYS.

With that work experience, would he be a lock for NU ED?

I don't think so, since NU ED tends to look for HYS numbers. OP will get at least 1 of CCN (though probably 2), likely with money, and big money at several of the lower T14.

I actually think NU ED targets CCN numbers, not HYS. 170/3.8+ with WE is probably in.

There's no good reason not to consider NYU if you're considering CLS. And an ED app to Northwestern (acceptance comes with $150K scholarship) would be by far your smartest play.
