Unless you're using a lot of those schools for scholarship negotiation purposes I would revise the shotgun approach to applying to law school. Go to a school that places well in a region where you have ties, so long as it is at a reasonable price

Not really, other than the time spent on the applications I guess

I applied to close to 25 schools I think but a good chunk of them were just for negotiation purposes
