Hey guys, so I just got my score back and got a 162. It's my first try but I really don't want to retake. Any chances at the following schools: Cornell, Vanderbilt, G-Washington, SMU, Florida. Other suggestions would be appreciated.

People are going to tell you to retake. Even a 165 would make a huge difference. As it is unless you are URM the T14 is out, and if you got into a T20 school you would have to take on a huge amount of debt. If you get even 165-168 it will be a whole different ballgame.

First time? Come on. Really wanna be a lawyer? No offense, but man up and retake the test at least once.

Yeah I'm in literally the same boat as you and have been looking at admissions graphs- conclusion I've come to is to retake. There's an outside shot at GW and Vandy, but even a few points would make at least the bottom half of the entire T14 viable.

Yeah, I remember when I got my June score back a few years ago I was really disappointed. I thought that TLS was cynical for saying my 164 wasn't acceptable and I should retake. After looking at the numbers, it became clear they were right. I retook, significantly improved, and wound up at a T14 with significant $$$. It's hard to accept the idea of retaking at first, but it's such a good idea for many, many people that ask their chances on TLS.
