No offense, but what you need to do is make sure your PS does not read like that comment. Unless you are consistently scoring in the 179-180 range, and you scored significantly below your average to get that 175, I would not recommend a retake. Also, people are going to hate you for posting this. You have been warned lol. Enjoy TLS!kevi0419 wrote:^I think that is a slight consolation. Though as a Chinese (Asian) and International student, if undergrad application is of any indication, than I would need significantly higher numbers than normal non-urm candidates would which is why I am really concerned at this point, maybe I should tried to raise the bar to 179/180 with retake so lsat to even out the lower GPA?
How you gonna warn him TLS people can be dicks, while simultaneously being a dick...t-14orbust wrote:No offense, but what you need to do is make sure your PS does not read like that comment. What T14 was saying is true though, you will have to craft a personal statement, and that personal statement needs to read well. I tend not to judge peoples writing based on TLS posts because clearly we can halfass our posts without consequence, but your posts do tend to read not as a lazy writer, but as someone who actually doesn't write well. Do try to work on that, and make sure you have strong native American English writers critique your PS before you submit. Congrats on killing the lsat, don't even think about retaking, it carries consequence, but little benefit. Best of luck!kevi0419 wrote:Thanks for the help, and sorry if people gets offended by my words or post, I live in Canada so I am really not familiar with the American College system until I started thinking about law school, and Canadian School advising almost never says anything useful about applying to the US which is why I trying to seek advice and learn from experienced people on this site. If so, OP, how did you pull off a 175?
I doubt that finding some Cherokee to read their PS will be enoughClearly wrote:What T14 was saying is true though, you will have to craft a personal statement, and that personal statement needs to read well.
