3.75 GPA 165

Cornell Undergrad.
Don't know how my softs measure up, but work experience includes internships with a Congresswoman and a semester at a law firm.
I've checked the predictors, but really wondering my chances at bottom half of T-14. Also considering UM or UVA binding early decision. Any thoughts on my current chances? Should I definitely re-take the LSAT to try to crack the 170s and would that earn me a shot at the top half of the T-14?
Thanks for any help!

I don't think you're going to hear anything besides RETAKE, prob should concede that now and retake. You'll also get the occasional link to mylsn

Not enough. Some people on this site work through every single disclosed LSAT question, whether in PTs or by question type. If you're going to be a lawyer, the LSAT is the most important test you'll ever take. Get the score up as high as you can, both for better school options and for scholarship money.

Yea, 165 wont cut it for T14. Cornell and GULC are kind of possible.

Congrats on your decision to retake. It's for sure the right call.

Well now with Cornell's ED option, I think you could get in that way.

Not worth it though when OP could get CCN or Cornell with major $$ on a retake. Also another 3 years in Ithica may be a little daunting (?)

Well of course it may not be worth it, I was simply commenting on OP's chances.

I'll have you know, I've posted that banner in 4 threads that called for it, and so far my conversion rate is 3/4. Now clearly, thats because the backup from all TLS chiming in on how they should, but still I think 75% "I think I'll retake after all" is a strong sign.
I just got so tired of retyping all the points in there 6 times a day for clear cut retake candidates that I figured I'd save the time lol. Glad to hear its looking highly on, and not as obnoxious or clutter causing.

Grab the logical reasoning and logic games bibles, helps make the questions make sense.
Also, you'll see that a lot of questions become predictable in their answer wording.

OP, 3.75 and 175 gets you into pretty much anywhere you want with 2 possibly exceptions (YS). 3.75 and 165 puts you out at 10-15 schools, and no money. I'm in a sort of similar situation as you are, and retaking really really sucks, but so does spending $200,000 to not get a good job.

Yeah, 3 more years in Ithaca would not be the best.

The banner is great lol. Retaking is definitely going to suck, but I feel I can absolutely improve. I picked up the Logical Reasoning and Logic Games Bible. What about the Reading Comp. one? (That was by far my worst section). Also, any other materials worth getting?
