Chances are good that you should retake and explore real practice areas (lol "international law")

Depending on what your work experience actually entails, I am more optimistic than the previous poster about your international law aspirations. That said, that's an incredibly niche practice area with very, very few jobs, so you should retake for HYS.

In at NYU but not with significant $; maybe 15-20K/year.

I somewhat disagree with the above posters' pessimism, only because you have demonstrated substantial WE in the field and you would be attending one of the best schools for that focus. However, understand that FT employment-wise, there isnt really "international law" outside of a few niche positions at big NGOs and international bodies that rarely hire directly out of law school anyway. That reality aside, you'd have plenty of opportunities to work on international projects as a student at NYU w/ your background. Id recommend clerking on the federal level and staying in close contact with your current employer in order to have a shot at those positions

when someone says they are interested in international IP, international human rights, international immigration, and international transactional work, the only common thread is that person doesn't want to work in the US. The likelihood of getting any of this work (not even digging into the fact that these practice areas require very different backgrounds) is small, even from YHS; that's why I am very pessimistic.

OP's edit confirms s/he has no idea what "international law" means and should get serious about exploring realistic practice areas. Better that some rando on the Internet says this now so that OP doesn't factor a unicorn into his/her decision making process, especially when lots of money is at stake. HTH.

FWIW NYU has a good "international law" program and you're likely in but the caveat is that it's TLS common-knowledge that intl law is a joke and that's a lot of debt..

If not HYS, I'd think NYU is actually pretty solid for international law. OP's three years of work experience will definitely help them later on.

If there's international law to be had, OP will probably get it from NYU.
