Hey guys, just wondering what you guys think. MyLSN is showing I have good chances at anywhere including and beneath NYU, excluding the ol' Berk. I'm curious though -- if I want to practice in Indianapolis, would it be better to attend IU - Bloomington and pay what I'm sure will be next to nothing, or attend a T14 at a significantly higher price? Do you think the declining medians will affect my chances at scholarships in the T14?
I'm a non-URM student at a small private liberal arts school, and live in Indiana so IU's tuition will already be lower for me.
GPA: 3.4x
LSAT: 171

If you don't want Biglaw than IU for free is a good idea.

IU for free over a T14 at or near sticker for someone wanting to practice in Indianapolis would be a defensible choice. Just be aware that your odds for getting BigLaw will be slim and that there's a very real chance that you won't find a full-time, long-term, JD-required job at all out of IU. Their employment stats have not been good as of late:

I think you should definitely still apply from NYU on down, though. (I guess Chicago, too, based on that small sample.) A few applicants with numbers like yours have gotten some money from T14s this year. Schools will very likely be more even desperate to maintain medians in the coming cycle, so the value of your 171 will go up.
