Is it even possible without being a URM (I think I am one though)?

A non-URM would have a non-zero chance with a 175+ LSAT and a great application.

But you are a URM (black canadian).

Stop making threads, go crush the LSAT, and most importantly, relax.

YS no, but apparently Harvard has accepted a few 3.6ish candidates with above 75th LSATs (176 and up)

So I would basically need to annihilate the LSAT then?

Might as well start studying now and become an expert on the test, not taking it till this time next year.

Yea; if you're black tho (as another poster suggested), then you are probably in w/ a 170. Just make sure they know your race.

If you're black, 3.5+/165+ will get you H. Not sure about Y or S though.

Non-URM is locked out of Y and S, and needs to definitely be above 75% LSAT from what data shows for H.

I know a non-URM with a 3.5 and 177 who got in this year. So yes, it's certainly possible.

Harvard has taken several LSNers with under a 3.65 in the past two cycles. The average LSAT of that group is 176, and all but one had 174 or higher (n=10). It is also not unheard of for Stanford (n=5), but everyone in that group had a 172 or above.

I've never heard of Yale taking a non-URM below 3.7.

I posted this two months ago, but it might still be relevant:
Lowest 3 non-URMs at Stanford this cycle according to LSN:
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/jimbo89 (3.53/172) (This guy has had a dream cycle)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/usafgirl (3.56/176) (Ivy undergrad/4 years of active military service)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/iVinshe (3.6/172) (Me)
Then there's a big jump, and the next lowest GPA is a 3.73.

Lowest 3 non-URMs at Harvard this cycle according to LSN:
<The first two above; sensing a trend?>
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/mm3456 (3.59/174) (Is this GeneralMuffin?)

Lowest 3 non-URMs at Yale this cycle according to LSN:
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/zdc (3.73/174) (HYP undergrad; Asian)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/Elwood (3.78/178) (3 years of work experience)
http://lawschoolnumbers.com/je12345 (3.83/174) (Few years of consulting experience; what look to be great softs)

Is URM related to affirmative action?

I heard there's going to be decision on that soon on the radio on my way to the train station today.
