Worth qualifying -- admissions isn't going to let a 165 3.7 into Columbia because they have a PhD, but no one is going to look at your application and think, "yeah, but what have you done LATELY?" Olympic medalist and SEAL officer are game changers, the former more so. A PhD is not, but it's still frigging awesome.A.
