hey everyone,

i'm hoping to apply in the fall and would like your opinion on my chances for t6. besides the numbers proper, these are parts of my application:

-the lsat is a retake, my first was 171
-i'm applying from undergrad
-my softs are okay - i'm director of debate, worked in a legal clinic, and am going to work in an investment bank this summer
-my lors have a probability of being one really good, one middling

my top choice is sls, but also just want to know whether my numbers and middling softs are decent enough for hls/cls. thanks, i really appreciate it

your numbers are great and your softs don't really matter much.

apply to the schools of the t10 that you would attend and expect lots of $$. YLS SLS and HLS are all possibilities.

While I can certainly understand why you say that, if all you have ever known is holistic admissions, it can sound too good to be true.

This isn't totally true. OP is the kind of student who could underperform at HYS since he's really done nothing except do well at school. But even so his numbers are so spectacular he's probably an auto-admit at HLS and he has a good shot at YS.

OP I would still recommend taking a year or two off to do something cool, both for your personal sanity and that it would make H an even more sure thing and give you a better shot at SLS and YLS. But if you apply this year you'll have nothing but good options.
