I already applied this cycle with a 2.5, 166, 168. Just received a 170 from the Feb. test. My application cycle can be found here:

As you can see, it's been a mixed bag. I received some schollies that have not been posted on LSN yet out of concern for negotiations. Would it be worth it to send any hail mary apps? Could I ask schools I've been denied from if they would reconsider?

Based on that GPA, your LSAT of 168 already does a lot. 170 doesn't speak that much higher than a 168, and its not those two points which are keeping you out of any schools. I dunno why you took the LSAT again, but this won't change your cycle at all.

Also, super cute tar.

I was mainly hoping for a bump over UCLA/USC's 75ths, which a 170 is. Also I figured if I got even 1k more in scholly money, it'd be worth the $200 and 5 hours of my time.

I think the difference between a 168 and 170 is definitely substantial, at least to the point of reevaluating your choices. Many of the T14 schools have 170 medians, so with your new score, you could throw ED apps at a bunch of schools that would not take you before. The splitting definitely detracts, but with the 170, any schools at 170 and below will now probably at least LOOK at you. UVA, UM, NW, and maybe Duke, Cornell, plus Vandy, UCLA, etc. I think that the difference between these two numbers might be the biggest difference out of any two possible numbers on the LSAT.

A 167's opinion, so take it with a grain of salt (God I hate my score).

Thanks, I think I'm going to send in some late apps to lower T14 to see if I get any WLs or a "reapply next year", in which case I'd consider sitting out a cycle, otherwise I'll just stick with my debt minimization at a strong regional plan.
