Hoping to work in California in the long run. Is there any point to applying for schools (next cycle)? I was initially ok with paying sticker for a lower ranked school, but now I'm under the impression I'm SOL if it's not a great school or w/ scholarship. Not really planning to retake. Thanks a ton!

Retake. Like you, I have a similar LSAT score and want to work in Cali in the long run. Unlike you, my GPA is much higher so the LSAT is even more important to you.

Stats don't lie:

If not T14, anything under USC/UCLA for California near sticker would be financial suicide:

If this career is really that important to you, then what's an extra year or two? Why the rush?

You definitely need to retake. Low GPA can be overcome by a very high LSAT score. Do you have a good reason for not retaking? If you are going to be applying for next cycle anyway it makes no sense not to use up all your retries. You need to be willing to do everything you can to put yourself in the best position to succeed.
