My dream school is UPENN because of their Environmental Law program. Also because I think I have a chance of getting in (unlike the T5), AND location (I <3 PHILLY).

Why would I get YP'ed?Davidbentley wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4#p6450834
Write a why penn essay so you don't get YP'ed.
Go Nittany Lions.
because it's not unreasonable to see you get CCN, maybe even H, given your URM status. according to lsac, there are about 40 to 65 black male or female applicants with a 3.5+ UGPA/ 165+ LSAT profile. (http://www.utexas.edu/vp/irla/Documents/ACR%20LSAC.pdf) HYSCCN took about 65 black male applicants last year; of them, about 35 went to HYS.Dr. Dre wrote:Why would I get YP'ed?Davidbentley wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4#p6450834

Because maybe another 40-50 total AA applicants in the country will have your number set or better so Harvard is likely and CCN is almost a lock.Dr. Dre wrote:Why would I get YP'ed?Davidbentley wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4#p6450834

I think you are equivocating Pennsylvania State with University of Pennsylvania. The former not T14.deputydog wrote:Yea dude, go to Harvard. If I were you I would go to Stanford, the weather is nice there. You shouldn't go to Penn anyways. The whole Sandusky/Paterno scandal is really going to screw Penn's employment numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if they fall out of the T14 because of it.
He's joking brah. It's a long running gag that the Sandusky thing will affect Penn's ranking. No one actually believes that the law school will be dinged by the Football program's issues. It's just a shame they had to take that statue out of the law library. And, I know several people who made JoePa an integral part of their Why Penn apps when this whole thing was breaking last year. Awkward.Dr. Dre wrote:I think you are equivocating Pennsylvania State with University of Pennsylvania. The former not T14.deputydog wrote:Yea dude, go to Harvard. I still don't feel that confident. I have weaknesses in my app.nebula666 wrote:Enjoy Harvard
C&F issues? If not, you're going to Harvard.Dr. Dre wrote:I still don't feel that confident. I have weaknesses in my app.nebula666 wrote:Enjoy Harvard
(1) I spent my summers working at Jack in the box to help pay tuition the following school year
(2) I am K-JD

Not sure what part of "there are maybe 40 other AAs, tops, with your numbers or better in the whole country and Harvard admits about 60-80 AAs per cycle" you're not getting.Dr. Dre wrote:I still don't feel that confident. I have weaknesses in my app.nebula666 wrote:Enjoy Harvard

1) They don't care. Numbers are the most important thing (and URM status).Dr. Dre wrote:I still don't feel that confident. I have weaknesses in my app.nebula666 wrote:Enjoy Harvard

No discussing AA in the on-topics. GTFO.FrankOcean wrote:affirmative action is such nonsense.
I can't believe those numbers will get him into Harvard.
