Hey Everybody,

I joined the Army after H.S. and became an Engineering Sergeant in the SF and then went to a state university where my LSAC GPA is 3.55. I took the LSAT before I graduated and received a score of 177 and now I am currently a TFA Corps Member and applying to law school next year. What schools do you think I will have shot at? Thanks for the help.

Oh, no? As in the song? That's classic gangsta rap. :). Mos Def, Nate Dogg and Pharoah Monch.

TFA won't do much for you, but with everything else I'd say you have a good shot everywhere except HYS, although you might as well just blanket the T14 because you never know, someone at HYS might be in a good mood.

Historically, you're in everywhere except HYS because of the GPA.

Although good military service is a nice soft, you may have a decent chance at HYS as well.

Blanket the T14. You have a great chance at getting into a bunch of them. Harvard recruits veterans pretty hard and with your numbers, you are probably in there.

Good Luck! I am attached to 1st SFG in Afghanistan right now; there are no finer Soldiers than the ones with the Maroon Berets. Thanks for your service.

OP, apply to YSH. You have a killer LSAT, not a deal breaker GPA, and surprisingly good softs compared to most. It is most definitely worth the app fees, because I think you're going to snag at least one YSH. You're in everywhere in the T14 with money, and should blanket them all. You are going to have an epic cycle.

BTW, are you an URM by chance?

Slightly lower GPA & LSAT, worse softs, I was accepted in the first wave of columbia regular decision acceptances this year. IMO you have a good chance of snagging one of HYS and everything from CCN down. Good luck!!
