Top Law Schools

Hi all,

Longtime lurker here - I've read the "should I post a 'what are my chances?'" sticky a couple times, and am not sure if I qualify. Well, I probably don't, but I'm hoping I do, I guess - "I am not a special snowflake" has not yet been fully beaten into me. Here is what I hope will boost me up a little bit:

• I co-founded a volunteer organization that was hugely successful, with 50+ volunteers by the end of our second year and an even bigger number of students.
• While my GPA is a bit low, I graduated from a non-HYP top-5 university.

I applied late (mid-December) but was admitted to NYU within about two weeks of sending the app in. So right now I'm just looking at the rest of the top 5 (+Berkeley because I want to be warm). I assume I'm out at Yale for insufficient brilliance, but H/S? Please?

HYS are out because of the GPA
Berkeley is probably also out because they're GPA focused as well

About what I figured - been using mylsn but hoping for some impact from the soft. Thanks in any case!

Although to be fair Berkeley is extremely holistic and the softs might help, especially if rough socio-economic background is a factor.

Also, are you a URM?

Non-URM, but single-parent family/was poor up through college. Tried not to milk it in the PS as we weren't homeless or anything, but now regretting that a bit

Good chance everywhere in the T-14 except probably HYS. Who knows? Maybe H will bite for that LSAT.
