Hey Everyone,

I have been looking around and reading on tls for a while now. I have also been looking on lsn for a while. I cant seem to get a consistent view of what I am looking at. I guess not many people with my gpa get the lsat score I got. I have pretty good letters or rec and average softs. I am a first generation mexican american male. I was wondering what you all thought my chances for a t15 school are? feel free to ask if you have any additional questions!

-thanks

You will have a beautiful cycle. You don't get as large of a boost as AA does, but you are definitely getting into a t14.

Whoops, I can't remember if MA gets the boost or not.. So here it is if you exclude the boost

I would check out the URM forum to see if you get the boost or not to make sure, but it is possible, someone posted in the thread saying they got a JS1 with a 3.8 162 (I believe they were an AA female). I don't remember if they ended up in or not, but there may definitely be a shot

I thought it was interesting that it showed a chance with harvard while no chance at stanford being that they have a higher median lsat than stanford.

Any one else have an opinion?

If you're not applying till next fall and are interested in Harvard and Stanford, it wouldn't hurt to retake the LSAT.

Ah, well, apply everywhere you want now, and if you're disappointed you can always retake this summer and try again next year.

Please retake the LSAT, with that GPA and 165+ it seems you'd be a lock at CCN and probably snag HYS. MA gets the least benefit of URM boost traditionally, but in your case you'd be helping pretty much every GPA median, and with a slightly higher LSAT, they'll drool.

In essence, I envy the type of cycle you are going to have/could have

If you don't get into Harvard this cycle, I would definitely, DEFINITELY NOT attend law school. Retake until you have a 166, or even a 164, then reapply next cycle.
This is HARVARD, worth waiting a year for, no?

I'm a Mexican 169/3.9 and just got the Skype interview with Harvard. Obviously haven't gotten admitted yet but it's an honor just to have the interview! Def retake for 165+
