Weak softs, no real work experience, econ/fin double major at a mediocre public university.
Is Columbia/NYU in play?

Really? Even applying this late in the cycle?boblawlob wrote:You're in for both. Shoot for HYS now.
Yeah. Submit soon. You're almost a lock at NYU (if you submit before February). Your chances at Harvard went down a little, but you are a tossup anyway.Jpreece59 wrote:Really? Even applying this late in the cycle?boblawlob wrote:You're in for both. Shoot for HYS now.
I didn't even apply. I have literally no interesting softs, I'm a K-JD, and I went to a mediocre state school in Kentucky. My GPA is actually a 4.16, I just said 4.10 for brevity and to adjust for my very unprestigious undergraduate institution.Regulus wrote:Stanford will prolly like that GPA.......

Honestly if I can get NYU I'll be thrilled, and if I can get CLS or HLS I'd be beyond ecstatic.
Do people going to H/S really wonder "what if I got into Yale" when they graduate.Regulus wrote:Just apply everywhere. It will keep you from wondering "what if?" down the road.TheThriller wrote:Apply right now to everyone school in the T14besides Yale.
You may snag a HYS or a lower t14 with a little $
TBF, if they don't, they should. The difference ... is not small.nebula666 wrote:Do people going to H/S really wonder "what if I got into Yale" when they graduate.Regulus wrote:Just apply everywhere. To be perfectly honest, with my dearth of any meaningful soft factors at all, there's no chance that if I didn't get into Harvard, I'd have a chance at Yale, right?Regulus wrote:The OP has not be admitted at either H or S yet, and might not be either. In the event he/she doesn't get H/S and didn't apply to Yale, I bet he/she will regret not spending the $100 for the app.nebula666 wrote:Do people going to H/S really wonder "what if I got into Yale" when they graduate.Regulus wrote:Just apply everywhere.
