Re: 170 / 3.68 , but late application
Why not just apply and see what happens? Nobody here can give you a good answer. I will say that the CW regarding applying late doesn't hold as much water with applications being down so much.

Looks like you're competitive from NYU on down. I would definitely apply this cycle and if you don't get the results you were hoping for, then find a good job for a year and apply next year.

Thanks very much for your replies. That sounds like a sensible plan.

Essentially same numbers as you, and I'm currently in at Duke, Georgetown, Michigan ($$), UVA ($$), and Penn. I was deferred from NYU ED. I don't know what difference applying late will have this cycle, but your numbers should easily get you into at least one T10 and definitely a T14.totoro wrote:I took the LSAT in October and got a 164, in December with a 170. However, I originally thought I bombed December's test when I took it, so my problem is that I haven't even asked for recommendation letters from my professors yet. (In fact I had started prepping for the GRE as a backup). So it looks like I may not be able to get my applications in until Jan 31 or Feb 1.
I'm already 23, so I prefer to apply this cycle, but I also really would like to get into one of the T10-T14. Do you guys have a sense for what my chances would be with that late of an application? Too late?
Please do not just refer me to LSN, I would really like your opinions on this. (I know that this cycle is a bit different than previous ones since applications are down). I just want to get a feeling from others who are applying what you think this cycle will be like with my numbers and application timeline. Thanks.
