165 , 4.0

Post by hopefulapp » Wed Jan 02, 2013 6:49 pm

Only interested in applying to Stanford and Columbia ED. For me personally, I will either get accepted to those schools or pursue a different career (which I'm totally fine with). As such, I will not retake. I'm actually quite indifferent but I am interested in hearing feedback on what my estimated % at acceptance are. Lower than 10%?

Thanks, guys.

URM? Softs? Chances are probably nil at both otherwise

Not URM. Softs are pretty unspectacular, run of the mill internships and a little bit of research work. I figure I might as well apply since I bothered to take the damn lsat though.

Solicit a fee waiver from Columbia. But you're right, it's worth being out $150 knowing you couldn't get in, apply.

Based purly on numbers, very low shot at both. Probably less than 10%...

You have a pretty good shot at other T14s though.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the feedback in any case. I'm just trying to have a minor fallback contingency in case I get no-offered FT this summer.

edit: in case anyone is interested, I only took one practice test and I scored a 154 :P

For your reference, here's how people with your numbers have done over the last several cycles: http://myLSN.info/b6mlfx.

The majority of people with your stats make it on to the waitlist at Columbia, which I found surprising. There's no telling what percentage of these applicants are ultimately admitted. Given CLS's love of high LSAT scores, however, most probably are not.

You are probably going to get waitlisted at Columbia, but who knows how that will pan out. You should apply to other schools or retake.
