I had posted the below this earlier:
LSAT scores are back, and I scored a 160, with my ~3.25 GPA and 7 or 8 years experience working with intellectual property, what do you guys think?
ORIGINAL POST below:
Anyone would care to comment on my chances of getting into the Loyola Los Angeles' part time program?
I'm non-traditional have been working for the past 7 years or 8 years. Studied science at Berkeley.
GPA just above 3.2, just took the LSAT today, I feel that I'll end up with a 157, my PT's were in low 160s

I apologize for failing to include which Loyla; I plan to apply to Loyola Los Angeles. Thanks for the above information in the thread. Both GPA and LSAT will seem to fall below the median. I would like to figure out how much effect soft areas such as related (though not law firm) work experience for many years and strong rec letters from current and previous bosses, and increasingly increase in job responsibilities, and etc., has on my application and how I could really bring that out. Perhaps this question is for another forum as well.
Thank you all for reading.
The latest data found on
LSAC.org for Loyola LA shows the following:
LSAT for part time is:
75th 161
Median 159
25th 155
GPA for part time is:
75th 3.63
Median 3.54
25 3.32

LSAT back at 160, what do you think guys think? 3.25 part time chances? Any suggestions on how to improve my chances? I think I got pretty good rec letters and a pretty strong story, barely graduating high school, going to community college and transferred to a top-20 university for undergrad in science, and now 7 or 8 years of professional experience.

Congrats on the 160. You seem like a well rounded candidate.
You definitely have a decent chance now that you are above their PT LSAT median.
Consider writing a "why Loyola PT". The way you talk about the school in this thread, it sounds like you think its a perfect fit. Im sure you have good reasons for that.
Other than that, retaking in June/Feb and scoring 161+, their FT median, would also be a huge bump.
Please be aware of of their job placement:

Hey Nova,
Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. I think I will incorporate something about that into my essay, I have some pretty practical reasons. Also, I don't know if this is a good sign, but I emailed the admissions people at Loyola yesterday to request for a app fee waiver, they sent one to me in 10 minutes, fingers crossed.
