3.61/177 Long time TLS lurker

Numbers are in the subject line. I know that the go to answers for this one will be LSN or retake undergrad but there honestly does seem to be a lack of strong data for people with my exact or almost the same stats. Just hoping to see if anyone here has any personal experience with numbers like this or even any anecdotal evidence of cycle outcomes.

Also, any thoughts on what this down cycle might do for my chances, if anything at all?

Thanks

God! A 177!

I am not sure why you ask here, because you will most likely receive an uninformed answer, but congrats on that score. I always admire the 175 plus range test-takers, very impressive.

Thanks for the kind words. Practice was key and the advice on here was a great help.

I don't mind a few odd unsolicited comments because I know that there are some TLSers out there who really know their stuff.

Thanks for the response.

Based on LSN I am inclined to agree with you about nyu, but columbia and especially chicago are no sure bet given my GPA, no? The problem is that very few data points at 3.6 have my LSAT. There are 177s at 3.5X and lower, and then some from 3.7 up. It's hard to gauge what the difference between a 3.5 and 3.6 are as a result, although obviously any increase can't hurt.

You'll be fine at Columbia, most likely fine at Chicago. Some chance at Harvard depending on your other factors.

GPA might be a bit low for Chicago. You're most likely in at Columbia and NYU. Chicago is 50/50.

You're out at Harvard unless you have something really awesome on your resume (prestigious job, academic publications, crazy good personal statement, etc).

Thanks. Yeah, what you said is basically in line with my expectations. Having looked at past cycles, I don't expect Harvard, but I think I might be waitlisted as opposed to being flat out denied.

Do you guys think I'll get YP'd anywhere? Penn for instance? Let me know your thoughts

Yeah most likely YP'd at Penn, since they generally don't accept LSAT scores above 175. Also likely to get YP'd at UVA.
