19 year old. 3.92/177 LSAT.

I will bullet point my relevant info. I will preface this by saying that I want to attend Cal Berk or HYS. I also very much like UPenn and Cornell.
- 19 years old, graduated from a small private school on the east coast.
- Started UG at 15
- 3.92/4.00 GPA - Majored in Mathematics
- Took LSAT twice. 169/177
- Other than being very young, no amazing softs other than I have won a few juniors national Squash tournaments
- I am a while male
Anyone have any info on my possible chances/ insight on how I approach applying to schools?

I'm pretty sure your age is irrelevant. I'm 20, and I don't feel that being young helps at all. In fact, most people would recommend that you take some time off before law school (though many law school admissions officers don't seem to care either way).
That being said, your numbers are very high and you can check your chances on mylsn.info

I'd apply entire T10 or T14. You should have a wonderful cycle. Congrats and good luck!

If you want to get some work experience before starting school I would hire you as an unpaid intern. I think it could be great for both of us.

Brah, I am just trying to get to that SA money. I have my list of schools and they are as follows:
- All t14
- Vandy, USC, WashU, Emory, USC, Notre Dame, W&M
- SMU, Case Western Reserve, Villanova, Richmond as safeties

Probably out at all t14, maybe a shot at some lower tier 1 schools. I'd say get some scholly from some TTT schools and give it a ride.

Do yourself a favor: Take time off.
Trust me, being super young at a top law school is not a feather in your cap. You're much more likely to be treated like a pariah than some cute whiz kid oddity. It's hard to fully articulate just how bad of an idea it is to be "that 19 year old" in law school.

If you don't know why you shouldn't apply to case western reserve, some more research on law school and law school admissions could do you some good. I also agree with the others you should get work experience before law school, but that is obviously your call.

As someone familiar with the squash world, I am struggling to think of any males national champions who went to college that young unless you are not talking about US squash.
Anyway, if you are not trolling, don't go to law school if you have the capacity to do math and science at a high level, which it sounds like you do. Go into engineering or computer programming, come up with a great product or service, and start your own company. How much research have you done about becoming a lawyer? Even though I essentially won the law school lottery by landing a permanent position at a prestigious firm, I don't feel confident about the stability of my career down the line. IMO law should be avoided unless you have a targeted passion for some type of law.
If you absolutely must go, don't go now. At least spend some time getting work experience, which will help you on the job search front. Plus it might give you a better idea of what you are interested in.

While I do not know much about the law school cycle since I started my cycle this year and it ended with a ED at Duke... I disagree with a lot of the advice people are giving you:
1) Your numbers make you beyond competitive at HYS and all T-14 (judging by their medians). Most people on here would kill for a 3.92/177
2) What softs do you have? If you are just a book worm in college then you may have somewhat of a problem with HYS, but hopefully you have done something besides study in college. Find something to turn into mediocre softs. Your 177 can still makeup for bad softs.
3) Make a bomb PS about your intentions of applying to law school and do what everyone does and try and convince the admissions committee that you are applying to law school because you have a passion for law.
Anyone who advises you to retake with a 177 must be joking? Hasn't everyone said this is a down cycle?
I could have read this thread completely wrong but 3.92/177 I don't care how old you are T-14 (minus NW) should be a lock?
Again, I could be wrong, just my opinion.

RG, I will address you first. This forum has a history of people posting fake questions just to stir the pot. The majority of responses assume this is the case here. You are right on with what you are saying if the OP is genuine.
OP, if you are real, no need to go below the T-14 for safeties. There is nothing wrong with being 19 in LS and enjoy the Doogie ride.
I do agree that being a 19 year old wiz kid means you can do other things that have better job security and potential than law, but do what you enjoy and have fun what ever that is.
