Low GPA Addendum - help or hurt?

Are they worth it?
I have below a 3.0 and above a 175 LSAT.
My excuse is worthwhile (think art classes I didn't take seriously before undergrad).
Does it help or hurt your chances?

If that's your only excuse it most certainly is not worthwhile. You can write an addendum but it won't matter much.
Aim for NW if you have work experience.

Taking an art class in high school at a community college and not getting an A doesn't count as worthwhile? I had over a 3.5 in undergrad.

It still counts in your GPA. How is that a worthwhile excuse? And how did one art class drop your GPA from a 3.5 to below a 3.0?
