Retake the LSAT? Do you think that sounds competitive enough to get in? Sorry I'm completely new here.

There's not too much data on Buffalo on LSN:
http://buffalo.lawschoolnumbers.com/stats. If you can raise your LSAT 5-10 points, your options would be significantly better:
3.15, 155
3.15, 160
3.15, 165
Study up. That 5-10 point increase will do wonders for employment prospects post-grad because it will get you into a much better school.

If you are a NY resident and want to live in upstate NY UB is a great, cheap option. Any other situation it's probably not worth it. No idea on your chances, but I got in with $ with 3.01/159.

Thanks for the reply. I live in Rochester and I actually love Buffalo so that's why I'd love to go there and hopefully work there. That's great to know that you got in with money with your numbers. My undergrad transcripts made it to the LSAC on friday and gave me a 3.08 gpa down from my actual 3.15; which makes me feel better that you got in with a 3.01. Now i'm just waiting for my graduate transcripts to hit which should hopefully help.
My GF is in the UB dental program and had their white coat ceremony on friday. I got the impression that UB really favors diversity. Some of the students in the dental school came from back grounds in architecture and one lady was even a 5th grade math teacher. They seemed to enjoy exploited the fact that they had people in the program from these background. So, although im not that diverse, and the law school is totally different from the SDM, I'm coming from a finance/ MBA background which i assume most of the students that are applying are not like me... hopefully they would like that..

I'm pretty sure graduate grades mean nothing to LSAC and law schools.

They don't mean anything in terms of GPA. I was more focused on it adding some weight to diversity and proving that I can handle graduate level course work. However they choose to think about it im sure it will not hurt me.

I checked the LSN and several people got in with 3.13/155 and 3.00/157. Do you think this is where admissions is a crap shoot and other factors such as PS and experience could have favored these applicants? If so this makes me feel pretty good.
I like to think that applicants with higher numbers that got denied, got denied for horrible PS or were so awkward in interviews they didn't stand a chance... not because they didn't score well enough.

They probably got denied because of yield protection. Those applicants probably wouldnt matriculate.
UB interviews? Pretty much no schools interview. Especially at that level.
You should definitely retake.
