Nobody on TLS is going to give you a completely accurate assessment of your son's chances, because we don't know. Some people have pointed you to lawschoolnumbers, which you should take a look at if you are really dying to. Generally, people who ask about their chances in this forum want to know to which schools they should apply and with which schools they shouldn't bother. If you have done enough homework to have found TLS, you probably already know that your son's stats are above the median at both schools. He should apply both to Harvard and Yale. That is really the only advice we can give.

Edit: Also, consider how much of your son's information you REALLY want to post on this forum (such as his awards and leadership positions) because it makes him readily identifiable, which is not a super-cool thing to do especially if your son doesn't know you're posting here.

Good God woman. Leave your son to it. You are undermining him. Should he become identifiable, as he seems to possibly be, everyone will know that his Mom was posting about him. Nothing you are posting here, nor any more information we can give you, can guarantee that your beloved son will make it into the hallowed halls of prestige that you seem to seek. He is just going to have to apply and find out.

I am sure you are proud of him. But he has done this well, he is a grown man, you must back off and let him handle it.

You are embarrassing him and yourself. I could understand a parent asking for help if their child was a bit lost, or if the child had some kind of severe disability, but asking about the chances at HLS and YLS (in two different posts) of your very accomplished son, make you look like an overbearing mother. Even Tiger Mom had more sense than to post about her daughter on a forum and opening her to internet ridicule. ( the book ended up with ridicule at the Tiger Mom and sympathy for the kid.)

I mean this in a kind of nice way, but back off and go away. You might consider focusing on your own life. I'm sure there are many charities that can benefit from your contributions.

Admires Proud Daddy, but Proud Daddy needs to learn the ways of the inter webs as to not endanger his son's chances, giving out personal information can be harmful for your son, please be more careful. I would delete your profile...just saying.

OP: Your son is likely to be admitted to Harvard & to Columbia. Yale is a bit unpredictable, however.

P.S. There is no shame in applying to Stanford, NYU & Chicago as "safeties".

Either way - just change the gender. This parent has done nothing of value for their son by posting here. (Not meant to be sexist: My Dad died when I was a kid so i tend to think of parents as Mom not Dad.)
