Have you considered EDing to Northwestern (assuming that NU still offers full tuition scholarships to all ED admits) ?

IMO with an ED you will most likely get in, without it will be a toss up.

I actually think you have decent odds of getting in RD, possibly off the WL. If you're dead set on NYU yeah I'd ED. You'd be forgoing chances at $$ though--possible at a bunch of lower T-14.

Also--do you heavily prefer NYU to Columbia?

It would be a longshot. Two 177/sub-3.3 GPA applicants did get in off the WL this year, and I don't think that would've happened the past few cycles. If their 75th LSAT fell to 174....this is speculation. If you absolutely need to stay in NY yes ED NYU sounds like it makes sense. Sticker is f***ing expensive though.

I'm not sure if Columbia has ED, but if it does I would do that instead of NYU. Why?

Columbia has a higher ranking.
Columbia is an IVY league school (Reputation).
Columbia is the best school in NYC
While NYU may open doors for you, Columbia will part the sea.

ED Columbia, you will get NYU RD. Perhaps off the WL, but based on this year it is relatively certain you will get in.
