177/3.71 Harvard
What are my chances at Harvard/Yale/Stanford with a 3.71/177? I come from a fairly prestigious undergrad (<T25) and I majored in International Relations. LSP gave me a "consider," and I plan on applying very early.

I want to say you have a good shot because your at where my high point gpa will be hovering next cycle, but a 3.85+ would put you as close to a lock at H as one could reasonably get. As you stand, maybe H and S, worth applying Y but GPA is probably too low unless your non trad or URM.

You're probably headed for a waitlist at H. I would say you're out at S and Y unless you have some really good softs. Who knows with next cycle though, I would still say apps are worth it. You're golden at CCN.

Barring any game-breaking softs, it's probably going to come down to how interesting/well-written your personal statement is. Try to find something unique to talk about, don't screw up your interview, and I think you'll have at least a 50-50 shot.

YS- Reject
H- WL, maybe Accept
CCN- Accept
If you really, really want YSH, you'll need to have some prestigious work experience or awards on your resume (Fulbright, etc) to stand a good chance.

What do you do with a international relations degree? Do you speak another language that would be a good soft.
