Probably not due to GPA. I'd honestly give him a better shot at NU ED (which might actually become plausible at 170+).Tom Joad wrote:Can this guy get the GW ED?
GPA is too low for NU ED. 3.55 was the lowest GPA this cycle. (That we know of.) The WE is solid, but I think the GPA is too low.bk187 wrote:Probably not due to GPA. It's definitely possible. It seems like a lot of 169s got into gulc this cycle. I did with an interview but I was above the Gpa median. I think that Gpa may be too low for gulc without a 170. It's possible they'll jump because of his sorts.jrthor10 wrote:I like your chances at GULC.
Didn't think it was a great shot, but I recalled NU ED being more forgiving to lower GPAs than GW ED.Samara wrote:GPA is too low for NU ED. 3.55 was the lowest GPA this cycle. (That we know of.) The WE is solid, but I think the GPA is too low.
They probably are, if you have the WE to back it up, but I'd be real surprised if a sub-3.5 non-URM gets it. The program seems designed to poach T6ers and sub-3.5 applicants have a hard time with the T6.bk187 wrote:Didn't think it was a great shot, but I recalled NU ED being more forgiving to lower GPAs than GW ED.Samara wrote:GPA is too low for NU ED. 3.55 was the lowest GPA this cycle. Well if law is your long-term goal, might be worth dropping off some of your work this cycle to really nail your LSAT and open up infinitely better long-term opportunities. DC is one of the toughest markets to crack so you should give yourself the best possible shot.soccer88 wrote:campaign cycles come and go. But I had the advantage of a higher LSAT. I think you could probably snag GULC with your current numbers but if you want to increase your chances or get any $$, you should consider a re-take. You could even apply next fall, and then retake in december, after the election when things have quieted down.
Although, if you're starting your own consulting business, not sure what the point of JD is to be honest.
Time is malleable spatial dimension, setting the stage as much as the other three for the matter of the universe to dance. We sense it as we sense length and width. It has no privileged status. A clock, however, does not measure time, but is merely part of the dance time entertains.soccer88 wrote:Field Director for federal race, senior staff/press secretary to state house member in leadership position, campaign manager to same member. in the process of starting own political field consulting firm, will likely end up with a congressional candidate and state house candidate for this cycle. various internships/fellowships in politics (hill yada yada yada). excellent PS (does anyone every say they wrote mediocre one though really?). Retake is not an option, because of aforementioned work status. Trying to stay at schools that feed to major mid atlantic/northeast markets (DC NY). Thoughts? Is my WE enough to compensate for being at or below medians...will the downturn in LSAT takers and quality applicants offer any boost in the coming cycle? Does anybody really know what time is/Does anybody really care?
