OP: This was a down year (-16%, I think) for law school applications. Next year's cycle is expected to fall even further. Check http://www.lawschoolnumbers.com for law schools in your targeted geographic area that might award a partial scholarship if you are unwilling to retake. Do not pay full sticker price at your listed schools as it would be an unwise investment for most.
P.S. According to lawschoolnumbers.com, a non-URM with a 3.4/159 received a $105,000 scholarship at Cardozo-Yeshiva.

It doesn't really work that way. Any firm that pays a decent salary will be deluged with applications from candidates. And you seem to think all your classmates won't be doing the same stuff as you, networking, meeting people, etc. You are making a financial investment of over $100,000 you will have to pay back at 6.8/7.9% interest. It is important to look at the facts, not the what ifs.LionelHutzJD wrote:I could do that if i really wanted to. How do you know I wont meet the right person? How do you know I wont be able to get in with a firm? You just don't know these things. Yes, it's definitely a risk, but if you're committed then there is no point in being negative. It's when you worry and start folding under pressure that you miss the opportunities.Nova wrote:http://www.lawschooltransparency.com/cl ... l=american
Go to American at sticker. Acquire 200k+ debt. Have a 10% chance to earn 90k a year. Have a 45% chance of not have a full time legal job 9 months out. Good luck!
Or..
Retake.
