What are my chances for scholarships to T14 schools?

i feel like you're in at harvard/stanford. and looking at big money from CCN, possibly full ride MVP

In all likelihood everything under t6 will offer you something. Around the t15 level you will start seeing full tuition rides.

Scholarships are slightly less predictable then admissions offers. For example I had 170 and a similar GPA and my offers were:
t6=Waitlists
B Rejection
M 1/3 $
V 1/3 $
P 1/4 $
D 1/2 $
NU no $
Gulc nothing $
Local tier 1 $$$

ED to Northwestern & enjoy $150,000 scholarship ($50,000 per year) if admitted ED.

i think you could outperform my cycle and get bigger scholarships at the T6 if you write a good PS (mine was meh) and/or have work experience (im K-JD). Being EE will definitely help in finding a job if you're going for IP/patent.

Also, people always say Stanford is AMAZING for IP, but if people like you aren't getting in who the fuck does?

Had a very similar cycle with 173/3.85 in CS. I had work experience too. Got in to Chicago and NYU with negligible scholarships. Big money around 11-15ish ranked schools. Stanford was the only school I got outright dinged at. In everywhere else, still waiting on H, didn't apply to Y.

stanford was the dream but i guess my GPA is too low? CA schools and their notorious gpa-whoring =(
objectively, i should have taken the money but i couldn't find meaningful work for a year so i decided against NU. And im in the extremely fortunate position of having parents who can provide me a very large interest free loan to be paid back whenever and some free housing in the Bay Area. I'm a CA native and dead set on IP so I'm going to Boalt

i have no idea. from the berkeley c/o 2015 thread it looks like most ppl havent gotten matching scholarship offers. And the UCs are poor as shit so I don't have high hopes

You should probably take Cornell. Boalt isn't worth over 150K more than Cornell. You are getting big law no matter what. And with the patent fair, and the SF IP fair, there is no reason to go to Boalt over near full ride at Cornell.

Thanks for the responses! Does Northwestern do the $150k scholarship for ED apps every year or was last year an exception? Its actually my top choice for a number of reasons so that would work really well! I have 3+ years work experience and that seems to be the norm there!

Nobody knows. But they are generous fairly normally.
