Do you believe you have a substantial chance of improving your score?
If so, you should consider it. You'll want some funding at whatever schools ultimately admit you. Paying sticker is not a nice place to be.

No, retake anyway. It doesn't matter if you score worse. Schools won't hold it against you. Either way, you're very likely to score better if you develop a study plan and hit the books hard.

OK. I want to go the best school that I can get a full ride to. Is a T20 full ride in the cards with my current stats?

Not... really..., but a 170 will make a major difference in that regard.
EDIT> Saw T14 instead of T20. Maybe Vanderbilt or UT?

YES.
Wouldn't surprise me 'round these parts.
Not saying it was bad advice, however.

Vanderbilt's too southern and UT-Austin is too hot for me. Can't see myself working in Texas with that heat.
Would it really be that bad to pay sticker for a better school? Feel like I don't have many options here.

I dunno. PVMDCNG are all reasonable reaches. Will you qualify for any need-based aid? URM cycles are weird, and I'm not sure how it pans out with PRs. You're not out of the running with your current stats.

OK I visited UT Austin's site and I'm not buying it. Is that a law school really worth going to if I get a full ride? 65% of their 1Ls are admitted from in-state, they aren't really a traditional T14, and I'm seriously questioning the value of a UT Law degree outside of Texas.
Can you even get big law in Texas with a UT law degree? I'm in a really big bind. Feel like my stats are going to force me to pay sticker for a mid to lower T14.

UT is certainly a regional school, but it's one of the/straight up the best school in the region. UCLA, Vanderbilt and to a much lesser extent, U Minn are like this, too. Having said that, if you're set on going to law school, get your LSAT up to a 170, and you'll have a great selection of t14 + likely some money.
On the other hand, if you don't get a better score... who knows, URM cycles are weird -- you might get into somewhere you're not expecting. It's fairly clear you're not going anywhere this cycle anyway, so you really have nothing to lose by studying hard for the June.

I think you have a pretty damn good shot at Michigan if you apply early.

Well say I apply in the fall and get into Michigan and UT-Austin. Is sticker price at Michigan better than $$$ at UT? Is its reputation as a law school that much better?

Depends where you want to work and what you want to do.
