So, should I study up and retake the LSAT? Can I get a full ride somewhere if I do? What happens if I retake and get a 167 or lower?
Yes. Yes. Nothing.
Retake for a T-14 full ride. A 173 lets you walk into Harvard if you will dust off your wallet.
Why go to law school without giving your best on the
law school admission test? You only get to go through this once dude.

LOL.
Harvard, Yale, and Stanford only offer need based aid. No merit scholarships.

Dude retake for sure. With a 4.0, if you broke 175, you would have an awesome opportunity

Would definitely retake.
As you currently stand, you could land UChicago or NYU but would more likely end up at Michigan or Cornell.
All of these are great schools, but you will not be getting any scholarship money. With a 171+, you would be getting big money from the T14 and probably a HYS acceptance.

Retake.
Also, even a full-ride still will put you in some debt. You shouldn't worry about taking on some debt at the T14 level.

Hi all. I am also tyrantlytamale. Six years ago I broke the site rules and made a new profile because I was embarrassed that my question was stupid. This post violates the rules, but I think it's worth the risk of the admin's wrath.
When I created this thread I was working retail making $10/hr. I had a degree from a community college. Because of this thread, I retook the LSAT and got a 175. I also hadn't planned on applying to Harvard before this thread. I did after my higher LSAT score posted, and I was accepted.
If you read the rest of my post history, you'll see I also didn't want to be a lawyer. Turns out that was true. Instead of accepting an offer into law I accepted a position in management consulting. That was a great decision, and also a career option I didn't even know about before law school. Now life is great. This thread changed my life.
I still wouldn't recommend law school to most people. However, if you are going to law school, I would recommend retaking the LSAT until you get at least 172. That part was worth it.
