3.45 GPA 166 LSAT Good Softs- Where to aim for?

I am currently planning on applying as early as possible for the 2013 application year. I have a 3.45 gpa with a 166 lsat. My gpa is partially that low because I started 2 businesses during college, one which grew to 15 employees and was sold. I have been involved in several non profits, young leaders society, etc and just wanted to get some feedback on target schools from both a part time to full time perspective. I ran my numbers through law school predictor, but some human insight would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

If you're not URM, LSP/LSN will probably be accurate for you. You're not a splitter, and your softs, while cool, aren't really going to do anything for you viz. applications.

Outside shot at mid-higher T1. Good shot at lower T1.

Where you apply should really be dictated by where you want to practice. So, where do you want to live and work after law school?

Thanks for all the replies. As for the question of where I would like to practice, I would like to stay around the south east. Particularly, Georgia as that is where I am from. Would like to go to UGA due to reputation/value factor but LSP does not give me much confidence in applying there. As for retaking, have looked at embarking on an intense class for games as that was my weakness.

You have a good shot at UGA!

Any particular thoughts on applying to a part time program and transferring to full time? Have been looking into Fordham PT and maybe reaching(?) for GW part time. Just wanted to hear feedback on if the PT programs might be a better option. thanks!

You should retake and aim higher. But for your reference, LSN shows that a 3.45/166 is pretty firmly in the admit range for UGA.

Retake, a nice scholly at UGA would be good. Out of curiosity, how many practice tests did you take? I see you were looking for a games specific class. Games were my weakness too, and I just kept taking timed PTs and improved.

Have you considered Duke or UT? I am no expert on their placement, but I think you could def get in with a higher LSAT score.

I took about 4 practice tests and just studied independently. I am thinking that an online class would help me focus my studying and gain new insights that I might have missed previously. Have not considered Duke or UT due to my current LSAT score. Depending on how much I can raise it, would certainly like to attend either one if accepted.

Yeah, I took about 40 PTs. The practice test books (along with the Powerscore Logic Games Bible) will be less than the class, but you gotta stick with it on your own.

I got into SMU, ASU, and USD with good money at each last cycle with near identical numbers.

I have been strongly considering Fordham or GW part time, any thoughts?
