I was a finalist for a Fulbright last year with the same situation. Iirc at this time you'll be finding out if you're a finalist correct? Don't worry about it until it actually happens. Fulbright is one hell of a black box. However I wouldn't mention it to law schools for the reasons you describe above.

If you get it and want to do it, go and then reapply for the next cycle. Law school will always be there and with the drops we're seeing in test takers/applications, you might get into schools that you wouldn't now.

I've heard some schools say that if you are a Rhodes scholar finalist no matter your GPA or LSAT you're automatic- same pull with Fulbright?
where did you hear this?
and good luck to you on the Fulbright!

I doubt this, except to the extent that anyone smart enough to be a Rhodes scholar probably has an awesome GPA and LSAT.

As a Rhodes finalist with a 3.99/165, I can unfortunately attest to the inaccuracy of whatever source you got that from. Advancing to the finalist stage requires an individual to have stellar GPA/softs, but most of the T14 are not keen on (relatively) mediocre LSAT scores. Winning the Rhodes, however, is likely an auto-admit anywhere.
