How would I fare applying to Alabama, Georgia, or North Carolina with a GPA of 3.65 and an LSAT of 164? Scholarship money probability?

Thanks,

Nick

I think pretty good for admissions, not so much for scholarships this late in the game though.

What about for next cycle? I'm still a junior.

Here is my take:

1) Go to lawschoolnumbers.com
2) Make a guess.

You took the LSAT already? Well nice job! If you think you could do better, you could retake (though I don't think it is necessary) since you have time, to improve your scholarship chances. Check the TLS stats and this/last year's forums for those schools. Most people here list their number and how much $ they received.

Where's your residency? Probably WL at all without residency. If resident, probably no scholarship $ unless some substantive soft or something. If you want more security and the possibility of money, then you should retake. Looks like 165s do far better at all three schools than 164s, and climb much higher than that and you'll be golden for scholarship money (not to mention admission to the best southern schools if you hit 170+).

You can bring yourself into auto admit territory with a 165. I'd recommend re-taking. I re-took a 164 (with a higher GPA) to improve my odds at UGA, got a 168, and got a scholarship. It's worth it, even if that means putting school off for a year.

UNC is out without residency, same for Bama.
