Keep bugging for fee waiver?

Hello i emailed a school asking for a merit fee waiver a week ago and they have not responded at all....is it a good idea to send a follow up email asking them the status of fee waiver or just wait it out.
p.s. sorry for the double post..posted in another and got no responses and I need to know if I should email them before the end of the business day
